Where do you live? Denver, Colorado, which is on Cheyenne, Arapahoe, and Ute Land

What experiences do you have in educational settings (Montessori or other)?

I grew up in Montessori! I attended Montessori school from ages 2 to 15 and was raised by two Montessori educators. My professional journey in Montessori started in 2013 when I co-founded a public Montessori adolescent program in Denver, where I energized a hybrid teacher/administrator role for 7 years. I’m AMI trained at two levels: 0-3 and 12-18.

What do you love about being an Operations Guide?

I love Wildflower Teacher Leaders – they are passionate, tenacious, powerful entrepreneurs. Supporting and coaching adults is energizing work for me. It is an honor to guide folks through Wildflower’s School Startup Journey to help them realize their vision of community-embedded Montessori microschools.

What drew you to Wildflower?

Wildflower’s dedication to empowering Teacher Leaders to make decisions on behalf of their school communities and our commitment to both equity and non-hierarchical systems. The community at Wildflower deeply challenges AND supports me in my growth, which is very important to me.

Favorite Montessori material and why:

I love the progression of mobiles and simple tools to support grasping for infants. And for adolescents – I love anything that helps support them in caring for their community, such as cooking meals in the kitchen, cleaning and organizing their shared spaces, or even work planners to help them stay organized.

Fun fact: I love movement. I’ve taught vinyasa yoga for nearly 10 years and spend as much of my free time as possible hiking, backpacking, or running in the Rockies, and I ran my first trail marathon in 2023!
